Angus Deaton is a British economist and academic who won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2015 for his analysis of poverty, inequality, health, and economic development. He is currently a Senior Scholar and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Professor of Economics and International Affairs Emeritus at Princeton University. He has also done research on consumer demand, welfare, and mortality in the US and other countries.
