The CVA Wolf works great with 777 under a 100grs. For magnum loads the CVA Optima is better because of the longer barrel. The CVA Optima is just more gun you can tell by holding it. Both shoot great but if you want to shoot heavier loads go with the CVA Optima.Im trying to decide between the TC Omega with Stainless barel or the CVA Optima with stainless barrel and QRB. I like both guns and while the QRB is a nice feature it doesnt take long to unscrew the Optimas breech plug. Both can be had for the same price. Im just trying to decide but I am leaning toward the Optima.I bought a CVA Optima many years ago. I love it. I hear the Accura is great but have never shot one. I highly recommend Blackhorn 209 powder. Non corrosive, I can shoot many rounds between a full cleaning with no issues. I shoot 100-105 grains with a 240grain Barnes T-EZ over it and it's a great shooter.The break open latching on the Wolf is located on the front of the trigger guard. It tends to snag on things causing it to open while hunting. The Optima is on the back of the guard and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. I now own an Accura MR Nitride. It may possibly be the best hunting muzzleloader ever produced.I personally prefer stainless so I would go with the stainless rifle. From the accounts that I have read the Optima is a good rifle. You named about the only difference. They both shoot as accurate. The Wolf is lighter and points quicker if that matters to you. Me, i have both and i love the Optima.
