The Count of Monte Cristo is hands down, one of my all time favorite books, classic or otherwise. I mean talk about a slow burn with a killer payoff at the end. The book is almost a trail of patience; righteous vengeance in the hands of fate personified, played out over 400+ pages. You may have a hard time putting it down.

Easy to understand simple and more action. The excellent balance of action and philosophy/deep stuff just the right amount that the reader can understand . From book 3 onwards it all gets way full of philosophy and things thst just blow your brain trying to understand them. Book 5 and 6 while decent are just wierd.
