I like the Glock 19 much more for a few reasons. One is its much simpler and not a lot to it. The XD is a good pistol but its just a Glock copy imo with more "features" add to it. I really wanted XS sights on my XDM but refuse to send away a pistol for any length of time. However I installed XS sights on my Glock in about 15 minutes. Just tap out the cheesey plastic sights and your good to go!More IMO, not because of the weight difference, but because of the higher bore axis of the XD. A higher bore axis creates more flip. Another reason why I prefer glocks over XD's. I don't own an XDSC, but between my 19 and XD9 service, the XD has more muzzle flip. Also just a guess, but I bet the XDSC and the 19 are pretty close in weight.
