How to jump a 2013 ford escape.

Idle problem in Drive. My 2013 Escape 2.0 with 135K miles has just developed a rough idle to the point of wanting to stall in drive. If I shift to neutral it idles fine. It otherwise runs fine. It's when I come to a stop in drive, it's as though the transmission is still trying to move the car forward. Transmission was flushed about 30k miles ago.Remove the shift boot and insert a screwdriver into a specific slot and hit the light blue button inside. This worked and I rolled the car back enough to open the hood and jump it. I had left the drivers door open and I guess it doesn't let the modules shut down. The BCM will turn off the low beam lamp if it's not drawing enough current, hence the reason the CANBUS friendly units that draw more power or have built in load resistors to keep the BCM happy. The fog lamps and high beams are not monitored by the BCM, hence the reason for those working.Just pull off the battery terminal for 10 or 15 minutes. When all power is removed, everything has to reinitialize when you reconnect the power. This means that you'll lose all saved radio stations, and so forth -- but you'll be starting with a clean slate.
